Intelliseek Announces BlogPulse 2.0, Featuring Faster Performance, Deeper Search, and Graph-Creation Capabilities

Users of Intelliseek's BlogPulse portal now have better, faster tools for analyzing blog posts, including a six-month index of blog posts and better search functions with the release of BlogPulse 2.0

Cincinnati, OH (March 28, 2005) -- Intelliseek, a marketing intelligence firm specializing in real-time analysis of online buzz and consumer-generated media, today announced a major upgrade to its popular BlogPulse.com portal (http://www.blogpulse.com), including a boost in coverage to 9.3 million blogs.

BlogPulse 2.0 provides faster data retrieval, a six-month index of blog posts and data, a  daily count of blog activity and analysis, and the ability to create customized graphs that track themes and issues appearing in the Blogosphere.

In addition, BlogPulse features daily statistics that track total blogs identified, number of blog posts analyzed daily and number of new blogs discovered in the last 24 hours. Today's results show 9.3 million total blogs identified; in the last 24 hours, it analyzed 576,128 blog posts and identified 38,817 new blogs.

"Incredibly fast, accessible and easy"
"BlogPulse users will love these new features because they make blog data and blog analysis incredibly fast, accessible and easy," said Sundar Kadayam, Intelliseek's Chief Technology Officer and manager of the BlogPulse team. "Blogs are increasing in number, influence and reach, and BlogPulse now provides some of the industry's best analysis of blog issues, topics, trends and personalities."

Blogs (short for "web logs") are easily created, personalized web sites that represent one of the fastest growing areas of content on the Internet. BlogPulse.com is a free portal that analyzes key personalities, phases, trends and popular links shared among bloggers on a daily basis. It showcases Intelliseek's text-mining and text-analysis technologies, which turn raw data into marketing and business intelligence.

BlogPulse 2.0 offers:
• Larger index: BlogPulse's archive now provides six months of data, compared to the previous 60-day archive.
• Better search capabilities: Users can now search through six months of blog posts and visualize results with a one-click "trend this search" icon that now appears next to their search results.
• Better link-search capabilities: Previously, the ability to search an entire link/URL produced results only for that site's home page. The new capability counts results for the entire site/URL.
• Time-frame options for graphs: Users interested in creating visual graphs that track and compare blog "buzz" can choose from one of four time frames -- 1, 2, 3 or 6 months -- for the graphs.
• Faster performance: Search and graphing functions are completed in seconds, thanks to hardware and engineering upgrades.
• Daily blog stats: A daily home-page log of blogging activity, including number of total blogs identified, number of blog postings analyzed daily and number of new blogs discovered in the last 24 hours.

"The new BlogPulse searches faster, digs deeper and slices data smarter," said Pete Blackshaw, Intelliseek's chief marketing officer. "As a company, we're obsessed with making data relevant and actionable, and BlogPulse is a powerful showcase of that commitment."

BlogPulse data has been cited by national media, including CNN, MSNBC, Advertising Age, MediaPost, Brand Week and others.  A free April 14 webinar by Intelliseek discusses blogs and why they matter to marketers. Information, 1-800-333-3222 or http://intelliseek.com/events.asp.
